On Monday April 14, 2008, Professor Gabriel Weisberg was honored by a book presentation and
reception hosted by Sotheby's in New York City. At an event attended by colleagues, friends,
and former students from around the U.S., Professor Weisberg was formally presented with
Twenty-First-Century Perspectives on Nineteenth-Century Art:
Essays in Honor of Gabriel Weisberg, a volume of essays written by colleagues and former
students, edited by Petra ten-Doesschate and Laurinda S. Dixon, and published by the
University of Delaware Press. It was a truly celebratory evening honoring Professor
Weisberg's forty-year career in the field of art history. The following images tell
